Let’s refute some lies about coffee

There are a lot of old wive’s tales about coffee and we all tend to believe them. So I put down 5 statements about coffee here we need to stop believing. Bottom line: coffee BENEFITS you.

1. Coffee causes insomnia

NOT TRUE!
Caffeine does not live in your body as long as you think. It will be gone within 4 – 6 hours. So if you cannot sleep at night, don’t make coffee the perpetrator unless you drank some right before you went to sleep!

2. Coffee causes diseases

NOT TRUE!
On the contrary! Coffee benefits your health in many ways. To name a few:
Lowers the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease
Helps your long term memory
Decreases the risk of developing various types of cancer
Reduces the risk of developing Diabetes II
…. and much more!

3. Coffee gives you stress

NOT TRUE!
It is just the opposite! Drinking coffee makes you happier! According to research people who drink over 4 cups of coffee a day are less likely to get depressed. And those who drink 2-4 cups of coffee daily are much less likely suicidal.

4. Coffee sobers you up!

NOT TRUE!
Gulping down coffee won’t fix your hangover, but coffee can recover your liver that is damaged by alcohol. The risk of liver cirrhosis drops by 65% when you drink 4 cups a day. More is better, guys.

5. You could get addicted to coffee

NOT TRUE!
Caffeine withdrawal might cause sleepiness or headaches, but coffee is never a threat to your physical or social health like addictive drugs are.

In fact, drinking good coffee will make you happy and healthy.
